A virus hijacks a cell to replicate itself. There is more than one way in which our immune systems can defend us from them. Our bodies have developed sophisticated defence mechanisms to protect us. This article explores how our immune system combats viral infections and the unique challenges presented by cells containing mRNA from vaccines.

Graham Stringer MP, co-chair of the Pandemic Response and Recovery APPG has sent yet a third letter to Steve Brine MP, Health and Social Care Committee chairman, raising further concerns about the MHRA.

State of the Nation Pt II
HART’s ‘State of the Nation’ article, published 18 January 2024, was appreciated by some (“Excellent article from the HART team” said a reasonably well-known MP), but copped a bit of flak elsewhere. Language matters, and we should perhaps hold up our collective hands regarding a couple of sections that contained woolly language not picked up during proof-reading… HART is an amateur organisation staffed by busy professionals, but that is no excuse, and we are not afraid of saying sorry.

Unvaccinated children barred from Birmingham schools
The new face of coercion Unvaccinated children sent home from school as a ‘National incident’ is declared. Does that ring any bells? Well maybe if you had lived in Lithuania or California during the recent pandemic. But here in the UK, those strident voices warning of ‘consequences’ for citizens declining an offer of a covid […]

Three years on from the first covid vaccine death
3 years ago today, Dr Stephen Wright died from vaccine-induced thrombosis, caused by the AstraZeneca covid vaccine he received on 16th January 2021.
Like many others he was assured it was Safe and Effective and that he should take it to protect others.
His family mentioned the vaccine could be the cause when he was hospitalised and a Yellow Card was completed in early February 2021. MHRA took zero action on this 1st known death!

Whatever happened to Public Health?
HART member Dr Alan Mordue, who spent most of his career working as a Consultant in Public Health Medicine, recently gave a talk to Common Knowledge Edinburgh on this topic. He directly compares what was in our pandemic plans before March 2020 and what we actually did in responding to Covid-19 in the context of some key principles of the specialty.

State of the nation: in a bit of a state?
Welcome to 2024. Even in the depths of the great coronapanic debacle of early 2020, one might have assumed – all things being equal, of course – that by now society would have veered back on course, the majority of right-thinking folk having realised the folly of the great misadventure.

Professor Wei Shen Lim, Chairman, Covid-19 immunisation committee, Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) Dear Professor Lim, I and 50 senior doctors and academics, wrote to you urgently on 17th May (linked here) to express our grave concerns about the possibility of the COVID-19 vaccination programme being extended to children. I was informed that the letter […]

Excess mortality in England post Covid-19 pandemic
Lancet article co-authored by Sarah
Caul, MBE, finally acknowledges that excess deaths are a problem but is recommending a timely granular analysis rather than doing one.

The Mysterious Case of the Disappearing Remote Control
Dr Mike Yeadon was unable to attend the event, but had provided a pre-recorded testimony. As it transpired, his address could not be played due to ‘technical difficulties’. It arrived safely on a laptop, but Andrew Bridgen announced that we were not able to hear it because ‘the television had been muted and they did not have the remote control’. As ‘the dog ate my homework’ excuses go, this one was pretty poor. Couldn’t one of the many people there to help have popped out to ask a staffer to find a remote?
